About Hope Unveiling
Hey, I'm Katie!
Welcome to my verbal snapshots of life as a follower of Jesus, student nurse, and writer (labels I'm often both deeply thrilled and terrified to claim). I want to share my stories with you; those of you who have already been waiting in anticipation with me (and missing out on the unveiling moments of those hopes because I’m too busy studying to update you all!), and those of you who are just joining. I’ll be sharing thoughts, stories, poems, interviews, photos, advice for nursing school, and past writings, with no particular schedule or reliable structure.

The name, Hope Unveiling:
If anything defines how God made me to interact with
himself, his story and his creations, it's hope. Nothing has made that clearer
than this particular journey of pursuing a career as a nurse.
Hebrews 11 says that "Faith is the confidence in what
we hope for, and the assurance of what we do not see", and Romans 8 says
that "hope that is seen is not hope at all". While our language uses
the word hope to mean wish, hope in those verses is much closer to
the word trust. There's often a precious window of time between knowing
what I need to do and knowing why, or knowing how it will turn out. Hope has the opportunity to grow deep
relationship between God and myself in that waiting; however, the moment I know why God asked
me to do something, I don't need faith anymore, the chance to hope is gone. I want to take advantage of this season of not knowing while it's here, and share it with you.
I’d
love to have you join me in my hopeful moments, and celebrate their
unveiling! Feel free to subscribe, follow me on Instagram, or shoot me a message if something resonates with you!
Katie, SN
